εὐεργέτης (Thess. εὐϝεργέτας IG 9(2).257.5 (v B. C.)), ου, ὁ, A. benefactor, P. 2.24, Ant. 284; τινι to one, 6.30, HF 1252: more commonly c. gen., τῆς γῆς Rh. 151, cf. Cra. 403e, etc. 2. as an honorary title, εὐ. βασιλέος ἀνεγράφη was registered as the Kingʼs benefactor, 8.85, cf. 3.140; πρόξεινος καὶ εὐ. 8.136, cf.
