ἐπίδηλος, ον, A. seen clearly, manifest, Thgn. 442; ἐ. εἶναί τινι Hdt. 8.97: ἐ. ποιεῖν τισί, ἤν . . Ar. Eq. 38: c. part., ἐ. ἐστι κλέπτων is detected stealing, Id. Ec. 661. 2. ἐ. μάλιστα γίνεται [ἄνθρωπος] ἀπὸ ἑπταετέος μεχρι τεσσαρεσκαιδεκαετέος formed, Hp. Carn. 13. II. indicative of a crisis to come, Id. Aph. 2.24, cf.
