ἔφεσις, εως, ἡ, (ἐφίημι) A. throwing or hurling at, shooting, ἡ τοῖς βέλεσιν ἔ. Lg. 717a. 2. (ἐφίημι A. IV) as law-term, appeal to a judicial tribunal from a lower tribunal, IG 12.39.74; from an administrative decision, ἡ εἰς τὸ δικαστήριον ἔ.
