παρήορος, so in Ep. and Ion., but Dor. and Att. παράορος [ρᾱ], ον (as always in Trag.), also Dor. πάρᾱρος Theoc. 15.8 : (παραείρω, cf. συνήορος) : -A. joined or hung beside : hence παρήορος (sc. ἵππος), horse which draws by the side of the regular pair (ξυνωρίς), outrunner, = σειραφόρος, Il. 16.471,474, D.H. 7.73. II. lying along, outstretched, sprawling, ἔκειτο π. ἔνθα καὶ ἔνθα 11.7.156 ; ἀχρεῖον καὶ π. δέμας κεῖται A. Pr. 365. III. metaph., reckless, senseless, οὔ τι π. οὐδʼ ἀεσίφρων Il. 23.603, cf.
