ὀρθόκραιρος, α, ον, A. with straight or upright horns, epith. of horned cattle, Il. 8.231, Od. 12.348 ; also of galleys, of which the two ends turned up so as to resemble horns, Il. 18.3, 19.344 ; of a mountain range, Πυρήνην -κραιρον AP 14.121.5 (Metrod.).—Hom. has it only in poet. gen. pl. fem. ὀρθοκραιράων.
