(v. infr.) and later Att. Prose: I. Act., of the man, marry, take to wife (= τὸ κατὰ νόμον μίγνυσθαι, s.v. βεινεῖν), τὴν Εὔμηλος ὄπυιε Od. 4.798, cf. 2.207, Il. 16.178 ; πρεσβυτάτην δʼ ὤπυιε 13.429, cf. 18.383 ; τοῦ γὰρ ὀπυίεις παῖδα Sc. 356 ; δῶκεν ὀπυίειν θυγατέρα ἥν Th. 819, cf.
