λιγυρός, ά, όν, Boeot. fem. λιγουρά (q.v.), A. clear, shrill, ὦρτο δὲ κῦμα πνοιῇ ὕπο λιγυρῇ Il. 23.215, cf. 5.526, 13.590; of a whip, 11.532, S. Aj. 242 (anap.); ἀκόνα (v. ἀκόνη) ; λιγυρὰ ἄχεα griefs which vent themselves in shrill wailings, E.
