κίδναμαι, Pass. of κίδνημι (only found in the compd. ἐπικ-), poet. for σκεδάννυμαι, used only in pres. and impf., A. to be spread abroad or over, of the dawning day, ὑπεὶρ ἅλα κίδναται ἠώς Il. 23.227, cf. 8.1; ὀδμὰ κατὰ χῶρον κ. Pi. Fr. 129.6; κιδναμέναν μελιαδέα γᾶρυν prob. in Simon. 41: once in Trag., ὕπνος ἐπʼ ὄσσοις κ. E. Hec. 916 (lyr., v.l. for σκίδ-) ; κολοιῶν κρωγμὸς . . κιδνάμενος AP 7.713 (Antip.).
