ὑπερηνορέων, οντος, , A. exceedingly manly: but always used in bad sense (though ἠνορέη is = ἀνδρεία, manliness, courage), overbearing, overweening, of the Trojans, Il. 4.176; of Deïphobus (the Trojan), 13.258; of the Cyclopes, Od. 6.5; in Od. mostly of the suitors, 17.482, al.; κακῶς ὑπερηνορέοντες 2.266, cf. 4.766.
