ἐννέωρος (cf. ὧρος), Ep. Adj. A. in the ninth season: hence, 1. Μίνως ἐννέωρος βασίλευε Διὸς . . ὀαριστής perh. at nine years old or after nine years, Od. 19.179, cf. Apollon. Lex.; Pl. Min. 319b couples ἐ. ὀαριστής taking counsel with Zeus every ninth year. 2. nine years old, of the Aloidae, Od. 11.311; βοῦς 10.19 (unless, = πενταέτηρος, ὧρος meaning a season, i.e. half-year, cf. Arist. HA 575b6); σίαλοι Od. 10.390; ἄλειφαρ Il. 18.351. (Perh. = of full age, ἐννέα being taken as a round number, cf.Sch.Il. l.c.) 3. (ὥρα) nine hours long, νύκτες Herod. 8.5.
