Emp. 100.19:— in Hom., epith. of πόλεμος, Il. 2.686 (cf. Anacr. 107), al.; and of θάνατος, Il. 16.442, al. (where it should perh. be taken, = bringer of great woe (ἄχος), cf. Apollon.
