διατμήγω, aor. 1 διέτμηξα: aor. 2 διέτμᾰγον:—Pass., aor. 2 -τμάγην [μᾰ] (v. infr.):—Ep. for διατέμνω, A. cut in twain, ἔνθα διατμήξας . . then having cut [the Trojan host] in twain . ., Il. 21.3; νηχόμενος . . λαῖτμα διέτμαγον Od. 7.276, cf. 5.409; ὦλκα δ., of ploughing, 2.81 (Med., ἀρούρας διατμήξασθαι 1.628); Ἀπόλλωνα ἠελίοιο χῶρι δ. distinguish him from the Sun, Fr. 48:—Pass., διέτμαγεν (3pl. aor. 2 for -τμάγησαν) ἐν φιλότητι they parted friends, Il. 7.302: abs., they parted, 1.531, Od. 13.439; also, they were scattered abroad, Il. 16.354.
