ἀλλοδαπός, ή, όν, (perh. ἀλλοδ-, cf. Lat.A. aliud, -απος = -ṇqṷος, cf. Lat. long-inquus) belonging to another people or land, foreign, Il. 16.550, Od. 17.485, 92, N. 1.22, Th. 1082, Cyr. 8.7.14, etc.; ἐν ἀλλοδαπῇ in foreign parts, 4284.7 (iii A. D.) :— later ἀλλο-δᾰπής, ές, EM 68.2, cf. 2.21.
