ἀλάλημαι [ᾰλᾰ], pf. of ἀλάομαι, only in pres. sense (part. ἀλαλήμενος with accent of pres., Od. 14.122), A. wander, roam about, like a beggar, Hom. mostly in Od., 2.370, 15.10, etc.; of seamen, μαψιδίως ἀλάλησθε 3.72, cf. 313; of a departed spirit, ἀ. ἀνʼ εὐρυπυλὲς Ἄϊδος δῶ Il. 23.74; of things, μυρία λυγρὰ κατʼ ἀνθρώπους ἀλάληται Hes.
