IT 154 (lyr.), Plu. 2.263a: (contr. from πρὸ ὁδοῦ, as φροίμιον from προοίμιον, φρουρός from *προορός): —A. gone away, clean gone (as Hom. says in full, οἱ δʼ ᾤχοντο ἰδὲ πρὸ ὁδοῦ ἐγένοντο, Il. 4.382): 1. of persons, gone, fled, departed, φ. ἐστι S.
