ὀρός, ὁ, A. the watery or serous part of milk, whey, ναῖον δʼ ὀρῷ ἄγγεα πάντα Od. 9.222 ; ὀρὸν πίνων 17.225, cf. Mul. 1.29, Acut. 2, HA 521b27, al., 1626.1, 1818.23. 2. the watery part or serum of the blood, Ti. 83d. 3. the watery part of wood-tar, ὀρὸς πίσσης Ulc. 12, HP 3.9.2, 3.74. 4. σπερματικὸς ὀρός seminal fluid, 5.23:—the form ὀρρός is f.l. in Il.cc., l.c., Ren.Ves. 14, etc.; the form οὐρός was coined by Th. 708.
