ὠλέκρανον, τό, for ὠλενόκρανον, A. = ὠλένης κρανίον (Ἀριστοφάνης ὀλέκρανα λέγει τὰ τῶν ὠλενῶν κρανία Suid. s.v. ὀλέκρανον,) point of the elbow, HA 493b27 (v.l. ὀλέκρανον), al.; used ἀγκών for ὠλέκρανον, acc. to UP 2.2,14: but ὀλέκρ. is found in Epid. 7.61. [ὀλέκρανον is required by the metre in Pax 443; τὸ ὠλέκρανον διὰ τοῦ ω_ προφέρουσιν, ἡ δὲ συνήθεια διὰ τοῦ ο_ ap. Phot.p.533 B.; has ὠλ-, but places it after ὀλέκει.]
