Median: τὰ Μηδικά (sc. πράγματα) the Median affairs, esp. the war with the Medes, the name given by Gr. historians to the great Persian war, 1.14, Pol. 1303b33, etc.; ὁ Μ. πόλεμος 1.90,95; Μ. ἐσθής, i.e. silken garments, Pers. 1.20: Comp. τὰ -ώτερα VA 1.25.
