HP 2.7.4. 2. generally, filth, dirt, κυλινδόμενος κατὰ κόπρον Il. 22.414, 24.640, cf. BGU 1116.14 (i B. C.). II. dunghill, byre, Il. 18.575, Od. 10.411, Call. Dian. 178; καθίσαι τινὰς ἐπὶ κόπρου Men. 544.5. (In this sense oxyt. κοπρός acc. to Eust. 1165.15.) (Cf. Skt. śákṛt, gen. śaknás ‘excrement’.)
