Hec. 1057 (lyr.), κελῶ Hsch.: aor. ἔκελσα (v. infr.):—A. drive on, Hom. only in Od., always in phrase νῆα κέλσαι run a ship to land, put her to shore, νῆα μὲν αὐτοῦ κέλσαι Od. 10.511; νῆα . . ἐκέλσαμεν ἐν ψαμάθοισιν 9.546; cause to land, ἀνδρῶν ἡρώων στόλον A.R. 2.1090: metaph., Ἄργει κ. πόδα E.
