ῥάθυμος, ον, (ῥᾶ, θυμός) A. light-hearted, easy-tempered, frivolous, careless, ὦ -ότατε Pl. Tht. 166a. 2. mostly in bad sense, taking things easy, indifferent, S. El. 958, Isoc. 9.35; οὐδεὶς γὰρ ὢν ῥ. εὐκλεὴς ἀνήρ E. Fr. 237. 3. slipshod, of literary style, Cic. QF 2.15(16).5 (Comp.).
