εὐφύλακτος [ῠ], ον, A. easy to keep or guard, A. Supp. 998; εὐ. ἡ καρδία well-guarded, Arist. PA 670a26; εὐφυλακτότερον τὸ ὕδωρ τοῦ ἀέρος more easily confined, Id. Sens. 438a15, cf. PA 656b2 (Sup.); ἐν εὐφυλάκτῳ εἶναι to be on oneʼs guard, E. HF 201; -ότερα αὐτοῖς ἐγίγνετο it was easier for them to keep a look-out, Th. 8.55; ὅπως εὐφύλακτα αὐτοῖς εἴη Id. 3.92, cf. Plu. Rom. 18.
