εὐδιεινός, ή, όν, A. = εὔδιος, χειμών Hp. Aph. 3.12 (v.l.), Plu. in Arat. 7 (Comp.); γαλήνη Pl. Lg. 919a; τροπαί Arist. HA 542b5; ὁ ζέφυρος Id. Pr. 943b21, etc.; ἐν εὐδιεινοῖς in sheltered spots, X. Cyn. 5.9, Arist. HA 548b21, cf.Mete. 347a23 (Comp.), Thphr. HP 3.2.5. Adv. -νῶς calmly, gently, ἱλαρῶς καὶ εὐ. παρακελεύειν Hp. Decent. 16; later contr. εὐδεινός (q.v.).
