ἐπίλογος, , A. reasoning, inference, only Ion., Hdt. 1.27; τῆς γνώμης ποιέεσθαι ἐπίλογον give a reason for their opinion, Hp. Nat.Hom. 1. II. peroration of a speech, Arist. Rh. 1414b12, Chrysipp.Stoic. 2.96, Phld. Rh. 1.202 S., Longin. 12.5, etc. 2. the concluding portion of a play, = ἔκθεσις,Sch. Ar.
