ἐνύπνιον, τό, (ὕπνος) A. thing seen in sleep, in appos. with ὄνειρος, θεῖός μοι ἐνύπνιον ἦλθεν ὄνειρος a dream from the gods, a vision in sleep, came to me, Od. 14.495, Il. 2.56; ἐ. τὰ ἐς ἀνθρώπους πεπλανημένα 7.16β;. ἐ. παιδός the vision of a boy, AP 12.125 (): used adverbially, ἐ. ἑστιᾶσθαι ‘to feast with the Barmecide’, V. 1218; κακοδαίμονʼ οὕτω δεσπότην οὐδʼ ἐ. ἰδών Pk. 169; later κατʼ ἐνύπνιον AP 11.150 (); cf.sq. 2. after , = ὄνειρος, dream, ὄψις ἐνυπνίου the vision of a dream, 8.54; ὄψις ἐμφανὴς ἐνυπνίων Pers. 518, cf. 226, R. 572b; ἐνυπνίῳ πιθέσθαι O. 13.79; ἐ. ἰδεῖν V. 25, Plt. 290b; τέλεον τὸ ἐ. ἀποτετέλεσται R. 443b; ἐνύπνια κρίνειν 21.29, Sammelb. 685 (ii B.
