ἐκεῖθεν, poet. κεῖθεν (the only form used by , also in Trag. where metre requires) : Aeol. κήνοθεν 86 : Dor. τηνῶθεν Ach. 754 ; τηνῶθε 3.10:—Adv. A. from that place, thence, opp. ἐκεῖσε, Ph. 490, etc. ; of a person, τἀκεῖθεν εἰ ποθούμεθα on his part, Tr. 632 ; ὁ ἐ. ἄγγελος R. 619b ; τὸ σκῆπτρον ἐ. παραλαβόντες Or. 6.181b. 2. = ἐκεῖ, οἱ ἐ. 1.62 : c. gen., τοὐκεῖθεν ἄλσους on yon side of the grove, OC 505 ; ἕζοντο τὸ κεῖθεν Or. 1411 (lyr.). 3. by attraction for ἐκεῖσε, βῆναι κεῖθεν ὅθενπερ ἥκει OC 1227 codd.
