II. any intestinal membrane: hence in pl. χόρια, τά, a dish made by stuffing it with honey and milk, haggis, Cratin. 326, Ar. Fr. 569.4, Alex. 172.17, Theoc. 9.19, ubi v. Sch.—It is uncertain to which of these senses is to be referred the prov. χαλεπὸν χορίω κύνα γεῦσαι ‘donʼt let a dog taste blood’, Theoc. 10.11.
