ἀποκρεμάννυμι, fut. -κρεμάσω, Att. -κρεμῶ:—A. let hang down, αὐχένʼ ἀπεκρέμασεν, of a dying bird, Il. 23.879; χορδὰν πλῆκτρον ἀπεκρέμασε the plectrum broke the string so that it hung down, AP 9.584; ἡ προβολὴ τῶν χειρῶν ἀ. τὸ σῶμα renders unsteady, Gym. 34; ἰσχύν relax, ib.53:—Pass., hang down, Pr. 948b4; break forth from, πηγὰς -υμένας τῶν ὀρῶν VA 6.26: metaph., become detached, γνώμη μὴ -ύσθω οὗ ζητεῖ VS 2.9.2; οὐσίαι ἀποκεκρεμασμέναι τῶν οἰκείων ἑνάδων Pr. 213.
