Ἀβυδηνός, ή, ον, of or from Abydos, Ath. 13.572e, etc.: prov., Ἀ. ἐπιφόρημα a dessert of Abydos, i.e. something unpleasant, variously expl., Zen. 1.1, etc.; μὴ εἰκῆ τὴν Ἄβυδον (sc. πατεῖν) Paus.Gr. Fr. 2: Ἀβυδοκόμης (Ἀβυδηνοκώμης or -κόμος Zen. 1.1), ου, ὁ = ὁ ἐπὶ τῷ συκοφαντεῖν κομῶν, Ar. Fr. 733.
