R. 422c, 621a; πνίγους ὄντος τὰ νῦν Id. Lg. 625b: in pl., Hp. Epid. 3.2; ἔν γε χειμῶσιν καὶ πνίγεσιν Pl. Phlb. 26a. II. in the Parabasis of the Att. Comedy, = μακρόν, because spoken at one breath, Sch.Ar. Ach. 659.
