ὀργιάζω, A. celebrate ὄργια, E. Ba. 415 (lyr.), etc.: c. acc., ὀ. τελετήν Pl. Phdr. 250c; ἱερά Id. Lg. 910c; θυσίας, πομπάς, χορείας Plu. Num. 8: c. dat., pay ritual service to a god or goddess, ταύτῃ Str. 10.3.12:—so in Med., ὀργιάζεσθαι δαίμοσι, and in Pass., of the sacred places, have service done in them, both in Pl. Lg. 717b. II. c. acc., honour or worship with ὄργια, ταύτην v.l. in Str. l.c. ; τοὺς μεγάλους θεούς D.H. 1.69, cf. Plu. Cic. 19. 2. ὀ. τινά initiate into ὄργια, Ph. 2.158, Luc. Trag. 112.
