Plt. 265d:—Pass., metaph., of ἀνθρώπων ἀγέλαι, ib.295e. 2. βουσὶ νομοὺς ν. eat down the pastures with oxen, Lat. depascere, 492. 3. abs., to be a shepherd, tend flocks, 20.35.
