Sch.); ἧπαρ κάπρου Fr. 318.5: in fem. sense, sow, ὀχευομένους τοὺς κάπρους 47. II. a sea-fish, Capros aper, 79.21, HA 505a13; a species found in the Achelous, ib.535b18. (Cogn. with Lat. caper, ONorse hafr ‘he-goat’, but not with Lat. aper.)
