ἰσόω [ῐ, exc. in Od. l.c.], A. make equal, τινί τι El. 686, V. 565 (dub.l.), Morb. 4.39:—Med., ὄνυχας χεῖράς τε ἰσώσαντο they made their nails and hands alike, i.e. used them in like manner, Sc. 263:—Pass. (with aor. 1 Med.), to be made like or equal to, τοῖσίν κεν ἐν ἄλγεσιν ἰσωσαίμην Od. 7.212; θεοῖσι μέν νυν οὐκ ἰσούμενόν σʼ . . κρίνοντες OT 31, cf. 581, Hp.l.c.: abs., ἰσούμενος, opp. κρείττων, Phdr. 239a; to be made level, of a bank, POxy. 1674.7(iii A.D.).
