ὑπόλοιπος, ον, A. left over, μετὰ τῶν ὑ. with the survivors or remaining descendants, Hdt. 7.171; τοὺς ὑ. Πεισιστρατιδέων Id. 6.123. 2. of things, = λοιπός, ὑ. τὸ βάραθρόν σοι γίγνεται still remains for you, Ar. Pl. 431; τί ὑμῖν ὑπόλοιπόν ἐστι τῆς ἐκείνων ἀρετῆς; And. 1.109; τὸ ὑ. the residue, Pl.
