P. 4.24, al., Theoc. 5.41; Aeol. ἄνικα Id. 29.33:—Adv. of Time, relat. to τηνίκα, A. at the time when, usu. with past tenses of ind., Od. 22.198 (nowhere else in Hom.), Pi. l.c., S. Aj. 1144, al., Th. 7.73, Ar. Nu. 607, Lys. 19.4, Pl. Grg. 509e, D. 21.78, etc.; ἡνίκʼ ἐχρῆν δύνειν, νῦν ἄρχεται ἡδύνεσθαι Timo17: with pres. ind., ἡνίκαπερ X. Cyr. 8.8.9; μετὰ τὴν ζωὴν . . ἡνίκʼ οὐκ εἰσίν Phld. Mort. 36; rarely while, ἡ. ἦν ἔτʼ ἐν φάει E. Ion 726. 2. ἡνίκʼ ἄν, like ὅταν, with Subj., of fut. time, whenever, S.
