εὐμήχανος, Dor. εὐμάχ- [μᾱ], ον, I. of persons, skilful in contriving, inventive, opp. ἀμήχανος, Eu. 381 (lyr.), Prt. 344d, etc.: c. gen., εὐμήχανος λόγου Cra. 408b; ἁλίων εὐ. ἔργων H. 4.593: with a Prep., εὐ. πρὸς τὸν βίον, of birds, full of devices for supporting life, HA 614b34, cf. 616b34: Sup., of the bee, Gp. 15.3.1; ἔν τινι 20.92: τὸ εὐ., = foreg., 2.830c.
