ἐπιτιμάω, Ion. and Delph. ἐπιτιμέω, 6.39, Schwyzer 346.11 (ii B. C.):—A. lay a value upon : hence, 1. show honour to, τινά Hdt. l.c. 2. raise in price, οἶνον ἐ. πολύ 32.27 : abs., NA 10.50; τὴν αἴτησιν ἐ. raise the demand, ap. :—Pass., rise in price, of corn, 34.39, 50.6, PSI 4.356.7 (iii A.D.).
