ἔμπυρος, ον, (πῦρ) A. in, on or by the fire, σκεύη ἔ. implements used at the fire, opp. ἄπυρα, Pl. Lg. 679a; ἡ ἔ. τέχνη the work of the forge, smithʼs art, Id. Prt. 321e (but in E.
