ἐκμάσσω, Att. ἐκμάττω, pf. ἐκμέμᾰχα (ἐκμέμα-κα codd.) cj. in D.H. Dem. 4: aor. 2 Pass. -εμάγην [ᾰ] Pl. Tht. 191d; also aor. I part. ἐκμαχθείς Hsch.:—Α. wipe off, wipe away, κάρᾳ κηλῖδας ἐξέμαξεν S.
