δυσμή, ἡ, (δύω) A. = δύσις, setting, mostly in pl., ἀελίου δ. S. OC 1245, cf. A. Fr. 69, Hp. Epid. 7.5, Pl. Phd. 61e; ἐπὶ δυσμῇσιν ἐών at the point of setting, Hdt. 3.104; περὶ ἡλίου δυσμάς Lys. 1.39; ἥλιος ἦν ἤδη περὶ δυσμάς Hell.Oxy. 15.5: metaph., τὸ γῆρας δυσμαὶ βίου Arist. Po. 1457b25, cf.
