βιάω, Ep. form of βιάζω, A. constrain, Act. only in the pf., ἄχος, χρειὼ βεβίηκεν Ἀχαιούς, Il. 10.145,172, 16.22:—Pass., to be forcibly driven, of fire, ἀνέμῳ βιώμενον 1.19; πῦρ βεβιημένον AP 9.546 (); θανάτῳ βιηθείς 7.83, cf. Mul. 1.40: fut., οὐ βιήσεται (in pass. sense) will not yield to force, ib.2.132; βιωομένη (v.l. βιαζ-) 2.13. II. freq. as Dep.
