ἀποδιοπομπέομαι, fut. -ήσομαι (in pass. sense, Ep. 4.5; act. form in 1935.12):—A. escort out of the city the δῖον κῴδιον (v. κῴδιον): hence generally, conjure away, Cra. 396e, 5, 1.239, Decl. 15.34; μετʼ εὐπρεπείας τοὺς φιλοσόφους ἐκ τῆς πόλεως Cat.Ma. 22; τινὰς τοῦδε τοῦ γράμματος Thras. 37. 2. generally, set aside, waive, τὸ προβληθέν 9.401b, cf. p.200H.
