II.1a: (τύπτω): —A. repelled by a hard body, τύπος ἀ. blow and counter-blow, of the hammer and anvil, Orac. ap. 1.67, cf. 68; of sound, echoed, echoing, στόνος Ph. 694(lyr.), 1460(lyr.), cf.
